March 7, 2017
  • March 2017 Club Meeting - lip balm and hand salve
From 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm on March 7, 2017

Location: Room 340, Steenbock Memorial Library, 550 Babcock Dr, Madison, WI 53706, USA

Presenters: Julie Servantez and Randi Vicenzi.

Tired of standing in the lotion aisle of a store and picking up lotion after lotion, studying the ingredients, and being shocked by the amount of toxicity in even the most “natural” of brands. Most lotions contain chemicals and drying agents rather than rich moisturizers like you would expect. Make your own, all natural, free range, farm to table, organic, vegetarian, gluten free lotion bars!

Hard lotion bars are incredibly easy to make and you get to control the quality of the ingredients going into the bars. This equals healthy and happy skin! Plus, most of the ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen!

Your skin is your largest organ, so make sure you take care of it.

Rich is an engineer, a product designer, and an avid beekeeper. After keeping bees for 8 years, he became increasingly curious to know what was going in in his hives when he wasn’t there. BroodMinder was born out of that curiosity. Partnering with a team of like-minded professionals, Rich has used his extensive design experience to create beekeeper-friendly wireless beehive monitors in a quest to better understand and sustain our precious bees. BEE COUNTED is an effort to collect nationwide hive data at over 10,000 locations into a public domain database to be shared with bee lovers everywhere.
